Professional Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are custom restorations that fully encase the visible portion of a tooth, restoring its original shape, size, and color. Our dentists often recommend crowns to strengthen and protect teeth that have sustained significant damage. Common reasons for a dental crown include:

  • Broken or fractured teeth
  • Extensive tooth decay
  • Fractured or weakened fillings
  • Large fillings needing additional support
  • Teeth treated with a root canal
  • Teeth requiring cosmetic improvement

Each dental crown is carefully designed to match the size, shape, and color of your natural teeth, ensuring a seamless blend with your smile while restoring full functionality and aesthetics. Traditionally, completing a dental crown involves two appointments. However, at Laurel Family Dental, we use advanced CEREC technology to complete your crown treatment in just one visit.

Dental Crowns Process

The process begins with cleaning and preparing the damaged tooth. Using our state-of-the-art CEREC system, we capture a precise digital impression of your mouth to design your custom crown. The crown is then milled from high-quality, tooth-colored material right in our office. Once the crown is ready, we ensure it fits perfectly before bonding it securely in place. The treatment is completed with a final polish, leaving you with a fully restored and beautiful smile.
